Apart from the volume of ice it can make, one can also choose the size of the cubes depending on the need. More modern models of this device also come fitted with a water filter. Thus you get fast and clean ice also.

Depending on your taste you can get the machine in different finishes. Most popular finishes are bisque, white, stainless and titanium. Other brands have even brighter and louder colors. Should you be at a lost in choosing the appropriate finish, then go for one that is neutral. This will make it easier in terms of color coordinating in the room and will avoid making it standing out like a sore thumb.
