There is a perfect table for every room in your home. A table is not just something you eat off of, it can serve many more functions than that. There is a different table for every area of your living quarters.
Your dining room will need a dining room table. Perhaps the most popular type of table, this one is an essential. When choosing a dining room table consider your wall color. While a black table will look good anywhere, a brown table will only go with certain paint colors. A popular dining room color is red. A black table looks fantastic against a red wall.
When deciding on a shape, pick a long rectangular table if you have the room for it. This shape will accommodate many more people than one that is round or oval.
Your living room will most likely need a coffee table. You want your coffee table to be the same length as your couch. A good option for coffee tables is a glass top. Once again consider your wall color, but also take into consideration your sofa. If your sofa is any earth tone, go with brown. A black table looks great against a white sofa. You want to get a coffee table with a bottom shelf to hold magazines and books and maybe even a couple of drawers for extra game console controllers or instruction manuals.
Another type of table for your living room is the end table. You will need two, one on either side of your couch. They should be spacious enough for a lighting fixture, a beverage, and a TV controller.
In your bedroom you are going to need a bedside table. The perfect height for a bedside table is right where your mattress ends. Get a table with enough counter top room for a book, a beverage, your cell phone, and a reading lamp or candle. Color for beside tables is not as important. You want to pick a table that comes with two to three drawers for added storage space.
If your kitchen is big enough, consider getting an island. These tables will give you plenty of preparation space for cooking and comes with all manner of drawers and storage areas. Some islands even have refrigerated compartments or wine coolers!
